Uchel Naito Assumes New Position as Assistant Medical Referral Coordinator of Hawaii Medical Referral Office

On April 4th, President Tommy E. Remengesau, Jr. approved an elevated position under the Ministry of Health that goes a long way to help improve and organize operations at the Medical Referral Office in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The official approval enabled Uchel Naito, the current Assistant Medical Referral Driver of the Hawaii Medical Referral Program to assume an elevated, full-time position of Assistant Medical Referral Coordinator, a position more consistent with his daily responsibilities.

For the past few years, Uchel served as a part-time Assistant Medical Referral Driver under the Ministry of Health. The part-time employee designation though presented challenges, Uchel continued to work tirelessly and diligently to assure all patients received the care and services they require and are comfortable throughout the entire process.

“Uchel is not only a hardworking employee. He has gained a great amount of knowledge and experience throughout his employ. Uchel is indeed a valued asset of the Ministry of Health and we recognize his dedication and the countless hours he has invested in the program as an employee and a volunteer.” expressed Minister Emais Roberts. “The Ministry will continue to work closely with Uchel and Mary Allyn Takada at the Hawaii Medical Referral House to improve operations and provide them the necessary support for a successful program.”

Minister Roberts and the MOH management team further thanks Uchel for putting in endless volunteer hours throughout his employment.
