HiSET Graduates Awarded High School Equivalency Diplomas
Seven graduates who successfully passed the HiSET or the high school equivalency exam received their diplomas during a brief ceremony held at the Ministry of Education on August 30, 2018.
President Remengesau congratulated the students for obtaining their high school equivalency diplomas in spite of circumstances they may face in their everyday lives. The diplomas will enable them to progress forward in pursuit of their respective educational or career goals.
Diplomas were awarded to Erica Charfauros, Herbie Ngirasob, Raylene Ngiralemau, Delanah Ourad Sakuma and Pono Sumang. Umai Paige Kesolei and Cody Ngiraungil, who are both off-island and enrolled in universities in the U.S., were also recognized.
Program Coordinator Imengel Mad shared that all of the graduates are either working or pursuing higher education at Palau Community College or Universities abroad.
The HiSET exam is administered through the Ministry of Education’s Adult Education Program.
