President Remengesau Bids Farewell to Outgoing Italy Ambassador Massimo Roscigno

On June 28, President Tommy E. Remengesau, Jr. bid farewell to H.E. Ambassador Massimo Roscigno of Italy to the Republic of Palau.

In thanking Ambassador Roscigno for his service to Palau, President Remengesau stated: “I would like to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for your friendship, assistance and work in our bilateral relationship. Italy is an important partner to Palau, in particular, its support and partnership of Palau’s environmental undertakings.”

Ambassador Roscigno expressed Italy stands in solidary and shares sympathies with Palau on climate change and global warming challenges, and will continue to work closely with Palau in this area.

Ambassador Roscigno has served in Italy’s Foreign Service for more than 35 years. Having served 5 years as a member of Palau’s diplomatic corps and as a friend, he offered his assistance to Palau in whatever capacity he may hold in the future.
