Welcome to the Republic of Palau’s Foreign Investment Board (FIB) Webpage!
The FIB is responsible for approving and monitoring foreign investment in the Republic of Palau, and enforcing the Foreign Investment Act through administrative penalties. The Board and its office are created and governed by the Foreign Investment Act, codified at Chapter 1 of Title 28 of the Palau National Code, and its implementing regulations.
It is governed by a 7-person Board, whose membership appoints a chairman and vice chairman who preside over official meetings and functions. A member is appointed by the President with the consent of the Senate of the Olbiil Era Kelulau (the national congress). Each member serves a term of three (3) years. It is umbrellaed under the Office of the President.
Foreign investment is essential to Palau’s continued economic growth, helping to expand the country’s tax base and provide business and employment opportunities for citizens.
The Foreign Investment Board stands ready to welcome the serious foreign investor, and work with you to realize your next business opportunity in this tropical oasis.
